Women in tech

Imagen
Hello, in this post I´m going to talk about Margaret Hamilton. Margaret Hamilton, (born August 17, 1936, Paoli, Indiana, U.S.), is an American computer scientist who was one of the first computer software programmers; she created the term software engineer to describe her work. She helped write the computer code for the command and lunar modules used on the Apollomissions to the Moon in the late 1960s and early ’70s.

Image Formats

Hi, today I´m going to tal about image formats. Raster Image Files: Raster images are constructed by a series of pixels, or individual blocks, to form an image. Every photo you find online or in print is a raster image.  Vector Image Files: Vector images are far more flexible. They are constructed using proportional formulas rather than pixels.  Your logo and brand graphics should have been created as a vector, and you should always have a master file on hand. The real beauty of vectors lies in their ability to be sized as small as a postage stamp, or large enough to fit on an 18-wheeler. Types of Image Files: JPEG (or JPG) - Joint Photographic Experts Group PNG - Portable Network Graphics GIF - Graphics Interchange Format TIFF - Tagged Image File PSD - Photoshop Document PDF - Portable Document Format EPS - Encapsulated Postscript AI - Adobe Illustrator Document INDD - Adobe Indesign Document RAW - Raw Image Formats

Image Licences

Imagen
Hi. Today I´m are going to talk about image lincences. Public domain : when a photo is in the public domain, it means the rights of its creators have expired and that the image has become available for the broader public to use – without charge and without having to credit the creator. Attribution : otherscan copy or distribute the works if they credir the creators name as request by the creator. No derivative works : others can only copyor distribute if they have the verbatim copies of the creators work. Share alike : others can distribute the creators works only under a license identical to the one the creator has choosen for the work. Non commercial : others can copy or distribute the creators work but for non-commercial purposes only. Here I atached one picture for if you have doubs.

Software

Imagen
Software is a collection of instructions that enable the user to interact with a computer, its hardware, or perform tasks. Without software, most computers would be useless. For example, without your Internet browser software, you could not surf the Internet.

Generations of Computers

Imagen
The Generations of computers are classified based on its operations and devices used in it.  Also, consider the architectures, language, technology and modes of operation. The generation of computers uses different devices and languages by changing the time.          First Generation of computers (1946- 1959)           Second Generation of computers (1959-1965)           Third Generation of computers (1965-1972)           Fourth Generation of computers ( 1972-1980)           Fifth Generation of computers(1982- Present) In the following link you can see a time line of the Generations of computers:  https://www.tiki-toki.com/timeline/entry/1537725/GENERATION-COMPUTER/

Hardware

Imagen
Computer hardware is a term used to describe any of the physical components of an analog or digital computer. The term hardware distinguishes the tangible aspects of a computing device from software, which consists of written instructions that tell physical components what to do. Computer hardware has internal and external components.

Ada Lovelace

Ada Lovelace 10/12/1815 - 27/11/1852, was a British mathematician, computer scientist, writer and she is considered the first woman computer programer. In 1833 Ada met the mathematician Charles Babbage, who had designed a calculating machine called the Difference Engine. Babbage had a new project in mind, a much more advanced machine, the Analytical Engine, and Ada realized that the Analytical Engine could carry out an extensive sequence of mathematical operations. The example he wrote of one of those sequences was how to calculate Bernoulli's numbers, it is considered by computer historians to be the first computer program. She gave her name to the Ada programming language. Every year on the second Tuesday in October, the contributions of women to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are celebrated on Ada Lovelace Day.
